Outstanding Copper Grades Confirmed at Redbank and Azurite Deposits
Ø 37m at 8.4% Cu from 5m, including 10m at 20.67% Cu - Hole RB08-14; Ø 35m at 3.92% Cu from 6m, including 8m at 12.8% Cu - Hole RB08-13; Ø 23m at 3.39% Cu from surface including 10m at 6.01% Cu - Hole RB08-10; Ø 13m at 4.09% Cu from 8m including 3m at 9.55% Cu - Hole AZ08-28 and Ø 12m at 4.42% Cu from 3m – Hole AZ08-22.
The Company is pleased to announce the completion of a 1,600 metre in-fill drilling programme forming part of the Redbank Oxide Copper Project expansion Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS). Final independent laboratory assay results have now been received for the RC (Reverse Circulation) holes completed at the Redbank, Azurite and Bluff deposits. These results materially exceed the preliminary results from the field portable XRF machine previously reported from the Redbank and Azurite deposits (refer ASX announcements of 3 and 7 April 2008 respectively).
Laboratory results are to hand for 23 RC holes completed for 875 metres advance (refer Tables 1, 2, and 3 respectively for complete summary of results). Highlights include:
